Two friends, one drum roaster, and a problem.
The problem was simple: the best coffee we'd ever had was always somewhere else. New York, Portland, Toronto — never Lethbridge. So in spring of 2020, in the worst possible year to start anything, we found a 12-kilo Probat in a coffee shop closing in Calgary, drove it home in a U-Haul, and started learning how to roast.
Five years later we're still here, still learning. We've roasted for some of the best cafés in the prairies. We sell direct because we like talking to the people drinking the coffee. We don't do flavored beans because we don't drink flavored beans.
Most of all: we roast coffee the way we'd want it served — fresh, honest, and a little bit weird.
